Living and learning in different ways Teairra is here to show you how “She Did That” with her new sound and new label One Division.
So tell us about your new projects?
One of my new projects is the song I have called “You Did That”. We are really excited about this because it’s a great record and we are getting some amazing feedback and working with Rico Love and his label One Division is just amazing. It’s all about making good music and that’s what we are here to do.
Do you feel your new music tells us about the new “you”?
Well the music is definitely more mature, but it’s all about my evolution I was 16 when I first hit the music scene with Roca Fella Records and so much has happened from Roca Fella to Warner Brothers I have gone through some trials good and bad. I have grown and blossomed and learned so many lessons about the music industry and myself. I have come into my own sound and style and I’m just ready for everybody to enjoy the life with me.
With the transitions of different labels have you learned a lot?
I have learned a whole lot; I can definitely say for myself that I have learned resilience. When you are signed to label and then dropped you have to figure out what’s the next step. I was so young and so fresh to everything and at that time it is easy to hide. But honestly everybody that I have worked with has been amazing, and believed that I could always do it and I am doing it. It just takes time and patience (laughs) definitely patience, but that’s what you need to succeed in this business.
