- How did she get her name? “Teairra is just a name my mom made up for me, but Mari (Maria) is a family name. It’s my mom’s middle name, my grandmother’s first name and my great grandmother’s first name.
- Any special vocal secrets? Says that her grandmother goes to Canada and gets her throat coats and vitamins to make sure she’s on point. She keeps her up to date on all the latest things for the throat.
- What does she think of Beyonce? Says B is her gurl and that they may write a song together someday.
- What to take on the road? Her grandmother tells her to keep the faith and take your bible. So she takes her bible and reads from scriptures to keep her grounded on the word.
